LOS ANGELES LAKERS
I've blogged about their loss against the Celtics last year..
and it was heartbreaking.
For a fan like me,
it hurts to see your team loose even if they did their best
to represent the whole city.
As the new season starts,
Lakers have been very aggressive.
making them the number 1 team of the west
at the end of the regular season..
And then come the '09 PLAYOFFS
LAL struggled to win a lot of games.
Utah.Rockets.Denver
A lot of frustrations, technicals, fighting.
Afraid that all their hardwork will come into waste.
But even with all those chaos.
Lakers survived.
Road to the 2009 NBA Finals.
Everybody wants Lakers-Cleveland.
To go with the "whose the better player Bryant-James??" thing.
Oh C'mon!
They don't wanna see Lakers vs. Cleveland..
Everybody wants KOBE vs. LEBRON.
but unfortunately.
The other NIKE PUPPET was eliminated.
LAKERS-MAGIC
It hurts to see your favorite players compete with each other.
KOBE is definitely my number 1.
but while watching Kobe play at the 2008 Olympics..
his teammate, Dwight Howard impressed me.
he grew on me.
that i included him on my list..
together with Kobe, LeBron, and Dwayne.
GAME 1
100-75
Everybody was in awe.
"No Challenge. No excitement"
and i was like..
no no no.
Magic is a good team.
But the Lakers are better.
After that game..
I knew that its SHOWTIME once again.
They're smelling blood and they're gonna kill the Magic.
GAME 3
Fast forward to the 3rd game.
108-104
They lost.
LA fans were in stress.
I was depressed for a few minutes.
when i realized.
that the loss was good.
to make the finals more interesting.
and oh yes.
everybody's rooting for a game6-close by the lakers.
GAME 5
All of us expected a loss.
that Lakers will mess it up on purpose.
so that they can close the finals at home.
and then..
what do we have here?
Lakers leading almost all quarters.
Could it be?
Everybody freaked out.
I could hear our whole community screaming when
the game clock expired.
THE SMELL OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP
good. good.
Lakers proved to everyone that they are the most talented team in NBA.
the bench is the best in the league.
and we'll give all credit to Phil Jackson.
he's the jjang. [korean for THE BEST]
and of course.
to the one of the best players to have ever played the game..
KOBE "the black mamba" BRYANT!
